Various catastrophes are widely happened nowadays. It assumed to be tales of individual breach, greed and many unjust attributes.
After the calamity of typhoon ondoy, Filipinos found out difficulties on how to survive towards their everyday dilemma in life. In this scenario, calamities are just warning that people should do some move. To protect the environment and most especially to help the co- Filipinos
Because of that typhoon ondoy, we felt the true Filipino spirit. Help!!!, lots of government subsidies provided to the victims and casualties, as well as co- Filipinos offers help to the victims.
To tell you the truth…… we are not yet fully recovered from the damage brought by the typhoon………. Yet it’s very degradable to what happened right after the ondoy. The Maguindanao Massacre it was very tragic while watching news shows and reading tabloids, when the headlines we read is all about the number of the dead on the said mass killing.
The responsible of the massacre, that killed 50 plus innocent peoples, was obviously a Filipino. In this situation, where is the Filipino spirit that we used to experienced during typhoon ondoy if the responsible of that tragic mass killing is also a Filipino? We can t feel now the Philippines system of uniformity but what is visible of nowadays is the greed of individuals toward power.
Just compare the tragic typhoon ondoy and Maguindanao mass killing. There is only one thing that we can defferincaite and that is the so called unity. During the typhoon, unity exists. Every individual extend their help. Unlike this current mass killing, unity vanished. They killed just to earned power. I don’t think so If that certain power is intended for helping later on. It might be a power used to cover their ears to ignore the various audible societies predicament .
