Once Upon a Time, I accepted Jesus Christ as My GOD

👨‍💻
August 28, 2010, a day that I never expect that something best will happen to me. A day that will change my life, a day that someone will rescue me from the darkness and brought me into the realness of Happiness. Here’s my story.

Damdam Kalilimodan is an organization that covers the art of dancing, singing, theatrical activities and visual arts - an organization of University of Rizal System Binangonan that I handle for a year of my leadership.

Moreover, the two former President of the said organization ask me to send some talents for their church. They really need it badly for the reason that they will have a performance in UP Diliman Film Institute and unfortunately they are lack of performers. So I asked my members who are willing to join and it was not mandatory. My members are very excited because it’s their first time to go in UP. They had regular rehearsal at the church. Unlike other performance of my members, I am supportive to them, my presence is always there during their practices but this time I don’t want to attend their practice to check, well? It doesn’t concern me anyway. (Actually I don’t want to go to Church) I am Catholic.

One time, I felt guilt to my members so I decided to go with them to their practice to check them. During the practice, I watched them; afterwards they gathered in one corner, they form into circle in an Indian sitting position. I join with them, a minute after; a man came with a bible. “Damn, here it comes the moment I avoid” I said it to my self. The Bible Thingy?

Since then, the Man Introduced himself. He is Pastor Arman. He was very gentle the way he speaks. He started open his Bible and browsed it. He started to read scriptures, and I felt boredom so I need to do something, for me to shift my attention from listening. Since I am a writer in a School Publication, in my hand I had a tabloid, simultaneously while the pastor was preaching; I opened the large spreadsheet of the newspaper. I’ve noticed the reaction of the Pastor, he was disrespected, but did he respect me? “He didn’t even asked me if I am willing to listen, the practice is already done and I’m about to go home,” I said it on my own. After reading, he asked every individual if we are ready to accept GOD. Everybody says yes, so I don’t have a choice to contradict their momentum. Therefore I said YES even I didn’t mean it. Lauren Balanay asked me if I understand about acceptance. I answered arrogantly “Of course yes; I went to church regularly, what else is missing?”

Every Sunday Lauren Balanay and the two former Damdam Kalilimodan Presidents, as well as the members of DK invited me to attend their Sunday service but I refused. My alibis are: I don’t have money for transportation (but they offered me transportation). But still I had an alibi that I am busy. They call me every Sunday on my mobile but I turned it off.

August 28, 2010 is the date of the said performance. So regardless of religion, I went with them; I need to support my talents. They hired a jeepney for transportation from Binangonan Rizal to UP Diliman QC. Actually I don’t have any idea about the event; all I knew was performance of my talents. When we arrived at UP Diliman Film Institiute I’ve noticed a banner “Empowered RAM Youth Convention”, so at least during that time I acquired a bit of awareness that it’s a youth convention.

When we enter at the entrance door, I saw innumerable youth, they were typical youth, and some were HIP HOP, Funk, Rock, and more subculture of youth. Some were AFRO, Reggie Hairstyle while i am wearing a formal wear with a tie. When the activity started, I felt I’m out of place coz everything was new to me. It was like a concert scenario but it’s different, they sang Christian Songs instead of disco songs. The youth were shouting HALLELUJAH and AMEN instead if “TAKE IT OFF”. All are new to me, I about to go out and stay outside but of course I considered my friends so I stay inside and wait for the performance. That youth convention was intended for Christians. The delegates came from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Everybody was dancing, singing Christian rock songs.

As time goes by, the preaching started, but this time I cannot shift my attention anymore like what I did. I can’t read news paper, its too dark, I can’t sleep, and the audible sounds will awaken me.

Everybody knew me as an illegitimate child, hatred is in me. One of the scriptures said that we need to love our parents, we need to forgive them if they hate us....BLAH BLAH BLAH........It really penetrate me. The Pastor in microphone told us to raise our hand release the hatred thingy. “Why should I? My philosophy in life is ‘Hatred will lead me to success’ I will prove to my parents who abandoned me that without them I can reach my dreams, so why should I raise my hand?” The solemn music played while the Pastor was praying. all youth were crying, I don’t knew what happened to me during that time, unconsciously my tears fell down, I can manage my self, there were force pushing my hands to raise up and I closed my eyes, and everything follows, I cried it to the Lord, my hatred, my sufferings, my everything. I let GOD to control my life; I cried too much regardless if someone was watching me (it’s not my behavior crying in many people). Lauren Balanay hugged me and whispered, “GOD IS GOOD, HE LOVES YOU AND I PRAY FOR THIS” I cried and cried. Right after I went out to drink water. I felt cleansed, I felt peace from within, that was the BEST feeling I never experience from having one night stand, having sex with anyone...... But this time HIS unfailing love prevails. I was like healed, BASTA beyond description talaga!

YUN PALA ANG SALITANG ACCEPTANCE, I was wrong, I thought that I already had JESUS CHRIST pero papano? How will Jesus enter into my heart if it was polluted with hatred and lots of ungodly feelings?

Once upon a time, GOD touches my Stone Heart and HE stays there. To GOD be the Glory!!!!! I cannot imagine, my self now, I’m in the right way, GOD, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, You taught me how to forgive...

How to be Born Again? That was my First Question !

👨‍💻
In Christianity, born again refers to a "spiritual rebirth" (regeneration) of the human person, contrasted with the physical first birth everyone experiences. The origin of the term "born again" is the New Testament: "Jesus replied, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born again.'"[Jn 3:3 TNIV][1] It is a term associated with salvation in Christianity.
Throughout most of Christian history, to be "born again" was understood as spiritual regeneration via the sacrament of baptism. This is still the understanding in Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. However, beginning with the Reformation, being born again[2] is predominantly understood by Protestants (Episcopalians and Lutherans are two notable exceptions to this understanding) to be an experience of conversion symbolized by water baptism, rooted in commitment to one's personal faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. A metaphorical rebirth occurs when a person accepts Jesus as the Messiah and receives the Holy Spirit. Within evangelical Protestantism, the term "born again" has come to be associated with a new concept, an experience of conversion, defined as mental assent to the acceptance of Jesus Christ as one's personal Saviour

Time,Timer, Timiest

👨‍💻

It’s almost four years I exposed myself in an online thingy the so-called “Blogging”. My blog site entitled VOYEUR’S VISION with this tagline “Your one-stop, informative blog: Find the truth… Trust the voice within… Only then will set us free!” got an average of 350 to 600 unique hints and views daily. I enjoyed so much writing in my site because there’s no such border that hinds me to post my opinions on what is happening nowadays. I can able to reach the entire world and let them know what’s on my silicon brain’s perception towards various issues happened.
Moreover, being an aficionado of blog, it offers me an opportunity to become a part of this publication. I was recognized by the Pillar. At first, I can’t see myself writing opinions, news and become a section head editor because I was assigned as a web designer. But my adviser motivates me to get out on my comfort zone and my co-staffers taught me how to write in the office world.
So much for that, when I reminisced my four years in online writing. I remember that I already acquired four years in this University who nurtured me. This time that The Pillar allotted me a space for my VOYEUR’S VISION OFFLINE. I was assigned to write for a column but then I don’t have any issues to tackle in my OFFLINE BLOG. My adviser told me that it should not be my concern but the topic should be a studentry’s sentiments. So I come up with an issue that everybody were experiencing including myself.
As far as I concerned, in this University there are two macro-sectors circulates in the operation namely the administration and the students. The existences of those two parties are must in attaining the vision and mission. At the party of the student, we are obliged to follow the policy’s teeth in accordance of what is written on the student’s handbook. At the party of administration, I am not knowledgeable; well it doesn’t concern me anyway. All I know is there are responsible of the school and its student. That’s it!
October 26, 2010. The administration announced an official start of class for the second semester of school year 2010-2011. When I enter at the main gate, I noticed lots of students are on queue in front of the cashier’s office and they are not wearing uniform. As I proceed to the stairway, I noticed another group of students who are ready and excited for their classes. Few hours of waiting at the hallway, I didn’t even felt the ambiance of first day of class. Professors are not there instead of the numbers of students falling in line in front of the registrar’s office rapidly increased as time went by.
The scenario was really alarming on my part that spends six pesos for my transportation yet my day is unproductive.
The next day, I spend again same amount for my fare and the situation of yesterday repeat itself. There were still numbers of students who are in front of the registrar’s office. I asked one of the students if why he is a late enrollee. “Kasi kuya wala pa pong sahod ang mga magulang ko. Wrong timing po ang enrollment, hindi po naming napaghandaan”, he answered me.
When is the right time? Does it follow that the timing of enrollment affects the capability of parents to send their children to school? I asked it to myself while reminiscing how I got enrolled? My stepfather sends me a remittance every first day of the month. But the enrollment was scheduled third week of the said month. I really suffered looking for my tuition fee prior to the date of the enrollment. I decided to borrow money as what my stepfather told me. Fortunately, I am officially enrolled, but, how about the others?
However, I felt disturbance from within. I can’t get the point of who is responsible of giving the schedule of enrollment and the official date of class opening. First, the scenario of “First day of class, first day of enrollment.” Students tend to enroll late because of the capacity level of paying the tuition fee. Second, the declaring of “first day of class no professor exists (regardless to those who exist). Students tend to go home early and not to come back next day because they thought that enrollment is still going on and there’s no class, so the tendency some of the professors will also leave from the class.”
Undeniably, majority of the students’ parents in this University are regular wage earner and we also have this “kinsenas/katapusan” nature of compensation. The schedule of enrollment affects the capability of the students to enroll. No wonder the enrollees decrease from 3092 into 2843 from the numbers of the first semester enrollees.
I knew that the students of URS Binangonan are hungry for education. They rather choose to become late enrollees rather than becoming an out-of-school youth. I understand also the administration why they implement various policies for a purpose of system of uniformity. Why instead declaring the first day of class much better if they gave a grace period for those enrollees because and as I observed, “The first day of school, first day of enrollment issue” made the student’s mind distorted. “May klase ba talaga o enrollment pa din?” Why I say it so, because that’s what happened. There is no class during the opening day yet the enrollment is still going on. I’m not saying do not accept late enrollees instead consider the students capability during that time.
These are things I learned in URS Binangonan. Time plays a huge role in an operation because in an inventory management it answered the question when is the right time to order? Timer also plays a big role because it avoids delayed in Queuing Process. By the connivance of this two macro sectors I knew we can search the meaning of “Timiest timing.”
So let’s consider the time, timer and timiest for us to avoid the “First day of class, first day of enrollment predicament” for the better operation of URSB in the future. Hopefully, this is my last year in this University, my last article and my last opinion. But one thing bare on my mind, URS Binangonan is part of configuration of my total life not only to myself but the whole studentry.

PNP Binangonan Identifies Motorists’ Danger Zone

👨‍💻
Vehicular accident is one of the major causes of death, physical injury and damage of property. Being one of the developing countries, undeniably the number of individuals who are using vehicles increased. It brought us to saturated highways that results into various accidents.
Binangonan is politically subdivided into 41 barangays. It has 24 mainland barangays and 17 island barangays. It also has 213, 579 population in mainland and 25, 352 in Talim Island according to Census 2007.
Subsequently, the Philippine National Police Binangonan recorded and reported registered total cases of 225 vehicular accidents or in legal term Reckless Imprudence from January 26 to November 2, 2010. One hundred thirty five (135) of these cases resulted into damage of properties, fifty nine (59) leads into physical injuries; one (1) instance of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple injury; one (1) case that brought to devastating multiple murder in barangay Lunsad; and twenty nine (29) results into damage of property simultaneously physical injuries.
Binangonan PNP identified the top ten barangays which recorded the most cases of accident. January to November 2010: Calumpang, 37; Pantok, 31; Tagpos, 23; Tayuman, 22; Bilibiran, 19; Darangan, 17; Pag-asa, 16; Mambog, 12; Batingan, 11; and two barangays namely Macamot and Palangoy, 9 vehicular accident cases.
According to PO1 Erwin Dalisay of Operation PMPC, most of vehicular accidents recorded are two (2) wheels vehicle and most drivers are teenagers.
“Masyado kasing agresibo ang mga kabataan ngayon kaya mas madami ang biktima ng sakuna dahil di nila alam kung saan ang takaw aksidente na lugar,” PO1 Dalisay added.
From URS Binangonan via highway Macamot, up to Batingan road is risky because motorists tend to increase their speed for the reason that it’s a highway road. Most of the victims suffered from serious physical injury or death on the spot.
On the other part, from URS Binangonan going to Calumpang is also dangerous because it’s a residential area and most of the cases recorded are Reckless Imprudence resulting to damage of property. “Lalo na dyan sa Pantok, iisa lang ang pasahero na bababa traffic na agad”, PO1 Dalisay commented.
The main road of Pag-asa, Tayuman, Tagpos, Palangoy, Pantok and Darangan are the most danger zone because heavy traffic exists specially during rush hours. “Kaya naman sobrang traffic sa kahabaan na ‘yon dahil walang alternative route, kaya gitgitan talaga”, he added. Aside from it, it is a residential area.
Identifying the danger zone somehow helps commuters and motorists in lessening the number of accidents in town.

A Minute-made just for me!

👨‍💻

I just drank a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy. They say it’s got ‘no preservatives added’. Aw, c’mon…It’s bottled juice. Is that even possible? So I thought maybe... it was just a promotion, (you know) cliches of marketers. As a Business Administration Student I am already aware of this stuff. MY GOD, nowadays businessmen are not towards the health of their costumer and imagine Pulpy orange in a bottle yet without preservatives, Unbelievable!

I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it’s got no preservatives added. So I read the ingredients (even the fine print) and everything checked out! It really has NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED! That means it doesn’t have ingredients that may turn out to be allergens, or worse...carcinogens! Whew! Now that’s healthy goodness that tastes so good, I... I decided to talk about it with my Church mates and tested it, according to them there are still companies today who are ADVOCATES of HEALTHY LIVING and concern towards their costumers' health. I answered them, "duh?!, Minute maid have already given us this "pulpy orange" juice which is best for our health. And the best thing about this Drink is, they meet the costumers satisfactions with a moral sense which is not using such harmful preservatives. Now I know why Ms. Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo chose this stuff!"

So okay, it’s got no preservatives added. That’s really good, right? Not just because it doesn’t have those icky, harmful ingredients, but it also means...healthy, likable and delicious. What a way to spend my peso with a refreshing quench of the Minute Maid pulpy juice!

So far anyone who still has a hard time believing that Minute Maid has got no preservatives added - meaning it's THAT natural, it's almost like it's plucked straight from the tree, it's just as Mother Nature wanted your orange juice to be, it's got nothing but the good stuff yes, none of those potentially toxic stuff that can harm your brain, kidneys, heart; cause tumors aargh- the list of preservatives' bad effects just go on!!! Anyway, just to prove a point on just how good Minute Maid Pulpy is 'cause it's got NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED, I'll  bet my Four year degree course for this juice!

Feels good to know about the real pulpy deal, right? C’mon show me a smile on the comment box, and you might win yourself a Really Pulpy Deal! (That’s a chance to win a Minute Maid gift pack simply by commenting. Sweet! C'mon you just might be picked as the lucky 'commentor'!)

Love, it coz

Minute Maid Pulpy Orange Juice made me realized that even in current days there still something real, NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED.

The real one, who will not warn harm you!

The real one, of no Hypocracy!

The real one, as real as my FRIENDS!

The real one, the real PULPY ORANGE!
